Between the earthquake, plane collision, and getting rerouted to Narita, I though 2024 was off to a bad start…then I reached for my wallet and realized it was even worse than I thought. So much for your wallet always returning to you in Japan. Now that I’ve accepted it’s not coming back, do I really need to go to immigration for a new Zairyu card? (just need the police report?) Assuming police station for a new DL? (anything special needed?)
\[edit\] Not sure why so many downvotes but I wasn’t making light of the earthquake. I had to drive 8 hours through that area to get family home the same night my wallet was stolen so it felt worth mentioning. Family on that side of Japan is directly affected though thankfully everyone is safe.
