I requested a transfer to Tokyo, Kawasaki City, or Saitama City as I’m getting married and my fiancee lives in Tokyo. She moved to Tokyo earlier this year for work and it’s not feasible for her to move back financially.
My CO agreed to the transfer and started the process a couple of months ago, but my supervisor told me today that there are no openings in any of these cities; that’s all the information he was given.
Has anyone been in this situation before? Is there any recourse? I find it very hard to believe that there are no positions available.
