Should I find a job and then notify HR?
Or should I notify HR and afterwards look for job? I heard in Japan people typically give 1-3 month advance notice, is this true?
Context: Currently I work for a Japanese company with good co-workers and I like my job.
It is not “black” company in normal sense (we never do overtime and no stress in work environment), but somehow the parent company decided to make bare minimum for salary, no bonus, no transportation cost support, no accommodation support basically no nothing expected of typical Japanese company. Also, interestingly no drinking on Fridays or anything.
I’ve been working for 1 year and thinking of changing my job, in what order should I do that?
Note: My Japanese is conversational and work in IT.
