After a several year lawsuit battle with the most stubborn Japanese man in existence, the superior court, and then appeals court ruled in my favor. (victory dance) It’s totally not worth the time and trouble the lawsuit caused over the past few years….but when you win, you’re entitled to collect court expenses from the opposing party. Total in this case was around 9man. Again, not worth how much time and effort that went in to the case…but no reason to leave that kind of money on the table. So the court approved the total and sent out it’s decision to me and the ganko ojisan…but now I’m wondering if I have to take any action to collect. The guy still has my bank info and all that….but in other countries, you are often tasked with ensuring the court decision is enforced. Is that the case in Japan or? (Unfortunately the court rep I was dealing with is out sick so not sure where else to ask until she returns)
