I’m asking this question in hypotheticals, but I’m concidering breaking my contract working as an ALT to try and get a job at an international preschool instead, and I’m trying to plan ahead for worst case scenarios.
My question is, after the 3 month grace period of my work visa expiring and being unemployed, am I able to leave to a neighbouring country for a week and then come back to Japan with a tourist visa? Also am I able to apply for work while holding a tourists visa if they have an option to sponser my visa for me?
Maybe this is an obvious question, but I wasn’t quite sure of the answer and I’m not one to typically make risky life moves so I’m trying to plan ahead.
