Hello, I have a bit of a ‘reverse Japanlife’ question but wondered if anyone could help.
I’m a British person living in Japan, and I never learned to drive before coming to Japan. A few years ago I took a Japanese driving school course and got my driving license here in Japan, so I have a full Japanese driver’s license. In a couple of months I’m going to be visiting the UK and I wondered if my Japanese license was valid in the UK. Would I be able to drive on it or would I need to get and international drivers permit?
