SHARP AC outlet configuration?

I’m thinking of buying second-hand SHARP AC, but it’s first time I see such a configuration of its outlet:

Maybe someone faced such one before, so **my question is: is it possible in heater mode to face outcoming wind directly downwards?** My room is quite small, so I want to put it this way, otherwise it might hit my head when I sleep. In regular cheap AC configuration, I can adjust that shielding panel with my hands so that it would direct wind right down, but I can’t see such a panel in these Sharp models.

I was looking reviews in internet and yt, but found nothing concrete. Also this design seem to be quite common for Sharp, so maybe someone seen it before in action. Sorry for maybe too specific question, but this model seem to be specific to Japan and I just out of clue where can I refer otherwise. Seller and staff in nearby appliance store saying opposite things and I can’d check operation of such models myself.
