Hello, This will be our first time to Japan / Asia. We are leaving the US on April 13th.
I’ve been actively using reddit and some blogs to try and build the base of my 9 day itinerary. I haven’t planned out every day’s activities yet, but I would love confirmation if the order of days makes sense. Also, let me know if we spent too much or too little time somewhere.
* I used to work for Disney, so we really wanted to see 1 park. I was trying to go middle of week for crowds (Tues, Wed, Thur). I know this isn’t ideal with how many days we have.
* I decided when we leave Hakone we should just stay in 1 hotel in Kyoto and do day trips based on another post. Let me know if this is a bad idea.
* My husband is a big nature person, so I added in Hakone. I actually contemplated not going to Kyoto or Osaka at all and going north for more nature, but figured if this was our only trip we should hit the major cities.
* Would you add Fushimi Inari Shrine before we go to Nara or should I add it to a different day?
