I want to ask this question, does it sound ok:

Man I gotta say I think learning kanji really helped my vocabulary retention. Even for words written commonly in hiragana I just think knowing the kanji sort of makes it stick more
Two questions about this sentence (something I just made up randomly):
1. Does it sound natural and is grammatically correct?
2. At any point, can I use の instead of writing 尺八 so much?
椅子の上に尺八があって、尺八がシャツで覆わていました。そして、私が椅子に座って、尺八を壊しました！
What is a standard phrase in response to someone declining an invitation? English examples are: “No problem”, “Maybe some other time.”
