Looking for some feedback on our itinerary. We are going on a trip with our 12 month old the first two weeks of March. It is our second time in Japan after many many years of wanting to go back. Last time we went in 2017, we only stayed in Tokyo so we will be skipping most touristy things and focus on shopping, food, and Disney. We are traveling with a baby so we want to keep it as light as possible.
For our flight, we scored a cheap roundtrip, direct flight which is why we are in and out of Narita. We would have preferred to fly into Osaka/Kyoto and leave from HND/NRT but couldn’t justify spending almost $2k extra.
In this itinerary, I’ve only listed the places we want to see. Open to suggestions if it is a bit light or too heavy some days. Our big interests for this trip are theme parks/attractions, sightseeing, food and shopping. We plan to come back one day to experience more of traditional Japan.
**Friday, March 1 (Narita to Kyoto)**
* 4:30pm – Arrive at Narita Airport
* 6:00pm – Depart NRT via Narita Express to Shinagawa Station
* 7:30pm – Shinkansen to Kyoto Station
* 10:30pm – Arrive and check-in to accommodations near Kyoto Station
