So I’m not a big animal defender or so, but I was in Kingyo museum in Nara and to be honest I was a bit shocked with it…. Like the fish were submitted to really strong and flashing lights. Some were swimming against the glass, some were fishing upside down. It’s not that I’m an expert on it but they really didn’t look healthy at all. I was wondering how Japanese look at this type of stuff.
Overall I don’t recommend it if you are in Nara. Entrance fee is 1200 yen and I spent most of the time a bit shocked with the fish
