As the title states, I’m currently an online college student that is taking two classes and wants to learn Japanese on the side. The only issue is that my university offers no Japanese language classes within their catalog, I typically prefer learning with lessons either with videos or zoom calls, those are heavily preferred but honestly I’ll take any suggestions. Thanks in advance!
Edit: I forgot to mention that I am completely new, I know a few characters in hiragana

Perhaps your local community college?
We would recommend that you complete a few textbooks and self study courses before you invest in lessons. (Primarily to learn how to read hiragana and katakana).
After that there are several peer to peer platforms where you can take cheap lessons – like italki.com
After you have a good base then it would be good to invest more for online lessons with a professional teacher with someone like us!
What is your budget?
I’m kinda in the same boat, my university’s program level isn’t that high. I’d like to step it up some, but need the structure and accountability a class/instructor can offer.

I shout from the rooftops for everyone to book italki
