I am going to Japan for 18 days starting April 20th, and didn’t realize Golden Week falls when I plan to go to Okinawa until it was too late. My plan is to fly from Osaka to Naha on May 2, then fly back to Tokyo on May 6th. I was hoping to spend 2 nights on Zamami, but the ferry part is worrying me.
As someone without a Japanese credit card, I can’t purchase ferry tickets until 23 days out. Are the odds of me getting a ticket slim? Should I nix Zamami and just do a day trip tour to Kerama or something? Zamami looks so beautiful, I really want to make it work. My main goals are snorkeling and relaxing. Any insight is much appreciated!
