When coming to Japan I chose the cheaper sharehouse going with “Social Design”. I put myself into a place that is… not the most caring.
I can get hot water if I go down 2 floors. Near my room, the water has never been warm. Washing my hands with winter cold water is painful. I thought this was a summer thing, until finally I reached out on November 30 asking whether they would finally turn them on for the winter.
\- November 30: We will confirm, sorry for the inconvenience.
\- December 21: We have confirmed and contacted the workers. It may take time.
\- January 5: Sorry for the late reply. The boiler should be fixed already.
\- January 9: We will confirm it again soon.
Not once between November 30 and today have I seen a maintenance worker come in, not once have I seen the boiler turn on. I feel like they are pulling my leg and other flatmates share the impression that they delay responses when it is convenient to them.
While there are worse problems in this world… I would appreciate some advice. I have a legal high ground for example?
