In my companies case I would generally agree. We no longer have a company cafeteria to save money. Which is fine for those who have bentos packed but for those of us who don’t it’s rough.
And to think that the government wanted inflation to rise for years.
A true lesson on be careful what you wish for.
You can just use your dinner leftovers with a quick omelette for a cheap and satisfying bento.
Is the food really rising that much? I feel like it went from super ultra cheap to ultra cheap or something? Did any of you ever try to buy food in a Western country before? For 500¥ you can pay the waiters tip and thats about it.
Food prices rose a bit but yen weakening hit us more here. You can’t do half of what you could a year ago with stuff from abroad, imported food, goods, going abroad etc.
Lol my partner father makes like 15m yen a year and thinks he’s the best. So low salary
