My friends are getting married and I am writing them a congratulations note. I am wondering if there is any traditional phrase used in Japan for weddings? I had a look on Google but it seems like there is not a specific phrase used.
My traditional phrase I mean something like Να ζήσετε (na zisete, Greek weddings). It basically means “may you have a long marriage!” .
Other general examples are Merry Christmas, 恭喜发财 (gong xi fa cai, Chinese new year greeting) or Χριστός ἀνέστη (Christos Anesti, he is risen)) for Easter.
Is there a similar phrase in Japan??
