M26 Canadian looking for a homestay in Japan or info about it

Hello hello,
I hope you’re well if you’re reading this!

As time passes, I’ve been highly contemplating starting something afresh and moving somewhere completely new. I’d love to try moving to Japan to learn a new language, customs, and cultures and get out of my comfort zone!

I study/ work remotely and would be looking to come to Japan (most likely Osaka) to learn Japanese through them and classes— and try staying for an extended period there (until September 2024)!
Thus, I wondered if anyone had an idea of how I could find a host family through word of mouth, FaceBook, some websites or even Reddit. I’d be willing to pay or offer teaching lessons/ compensate i any way or arrangement with the family.

Don’t hesitate to comment or message me if you know anything that could be helpful to me!

Thanks so much 😀

  2. Working remotely for a Canadian company from JST is a miserable experience. Just do a working holiday if you’re looking for an extended vacation.
