Hello everyone,
Planning a short trip to Japan around the first week of June and I need some advice and suggestions. It’s mostly a loose itinerary so we don’t feel stressed out if we don’t make it into things so I’m open to cutting some activities or suggestions on better places we can go to around the area we’re gonna be at.
Also, I have a few questions on some days, please bear with it. I would truly appreciate the help!
* Day 0:
* Evening: Arrive at Narita
* **Stay the night in Narita**
* Day 1:
* Morning: Narita to Nagoya *(3hrs)*
* Afternoon: Ghibli Park *(1 pm-5 pm)*
* Evening: Nagoya to Osaka
* **HQ: Osaka**
* \*\*\*\*\**If we can catch the earlier trains from Narita to Nagoya, what are some things we can do in the morning at Nagoya?*
* Day 2:
* Morning-Early Afternoon: USJ *(Probably from 9 am-2 pm; we mostly only want to see Super Nintendo World & XR Rides)*
* Afternoon-Evening: Port Island, Kobe area *(Animal Kingdom, Arima Onsen)*
* **HQ: Osaka**
* *Any Kobe Beef restaurant recommendation for dinner in Kobe?*
* *We would want to try Arima Onsen while in the area, would it be pushing it to keep it on our itinerary for the day?*
* Day 3:
* Early Morning: Osaka to Kyoto
* Morning: Fushimi Inari Shrine
* Afternoon: Nishiki Market
* Evening: Gion
* **HQ: Osaka**
* Day 4:
* Early Morning: Nara to Osaka
* Morning-Afternoon: Nara *(Todaiji Temple, Deer Park, Nakatanidou) (8am-2pm)*
* Evening: Tsutenkaku/Dotonbori
* **HQ: Osaka**
* *I am debating if it’s a good idea to spend the whole day in Nara Park as I’ve heard it can get pretty humid in the Summer.*
* *Looking for more suggestions to visit at Nara area*
* Day 5:
* Morning: Osaka to Tokyo
* Whole Day: Akihabara *(2k540 Aki-Oka Artisan, Kanda Shrine, Hitachino Brewing Lab)*
* **HQ: Tokyo**
* *Any hidden gems around the area aside from stores and the shrine?*
* Day 6:
* Whole Day: Shibuya Area *(Mostly shopping around Loft, and Pokemon Center; See Shibuya Crossing)*
* **HQ: Tokyo**
* *Any shopping area recommendations? I am looking for places to buy Smiskis or Sonny Angels. I’ll also be traveling with my parents who love Gundam and Sanrio merchandise and I was wondering if there are any places we can go around here (or Akihabara or somewhere we can briefly visit on the morning of Day 7 around Tokyo) for it.*
* Day 7:
* Morning-Afternoon: Either stay and explore a bit more of Tokyo or sightseeing around Chiba(?) or Narita
* Evening: Flight Back to Narita
**\*\*With the places we’re traveling at, is it worth getting JR Pass or should we just get a SUICA Card?**
