I’m looking for a new place and a couple things I’m definitely looking to add onto my list of criteria: sound isolation (from the outside especially!!!) and perhaps thermal insulation (I was freezing in my place the last couple weeks). However, it seems like it’s practically impossible to check thermal performance for the apartment when going to a normal viewing.
What are some checks you guys do to try and make sure you won’t be freezing in the winter when looking for a new place? Or perhaps this is a fool’s errand?
