  1. I was watching 僕だけがいない街 episode 4 and here is the dialog around 4 minutes in:

    A「お前だって、最近まであいつらの中の一人だったろう?意地張ってないでお前も行けばいいじゃん」

    B「じゃんって何?かっこつけてんの?」

Why is 「じゃん」 considered 「かっこつけ」 in this context?

Does the episode taking place in Hokkaido have anything to do with it? Or is it because of the 説教する言い方 that A is showing?

  2. Starting to read One Piece (from vol. 91). Luffy seems to add a random エ in his sentences. Like here is some text from when he is eating: “んめエ‼︎ お前は食わねエのか?”

I’m only on the first chapter, but he’s the only character I see adding the random エ. Does it mean anything? Is it supposed to be some accent? What does it imply?

  3. There is a graded reader from tadoku that is making me a little confused, and I just want to make sure it is actually an error. There is a sentence that goes 絵を描くのが好きです. In the text, the kanji for 描くappears with the reading か but in the dictionary, it says it is えが. Is it really an error in the text?

    Thanks in advance!
