For the Alpine portion of our trip, we are staying at Takayama City for one night, and then moving to Toyama prior to the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route journey. We will have half a day in Takayama, and then plan to use the morning in Takayama to get to Kamikochi and back to Toyama. afterwards we will go through the alpine route and be at Nikko Ryokan at 8:30PM (can check in by 10PM)
This should be possible according to the public transportation timetable, but is this advisable?
**Day in Shirakawa Go + Takayama:**
Kanazawa → Shirakawa-go Gassho-zukuri Village
Arriving at 09:11

Shirakawa-go Gassho-zukuri Village → Takayama

**Alpine Route to Nikko:**

Ogizawa Station → Nikko

**Three main questions:**
Is it viable to see Kamikochi in 4 hours?
Is 8 hours for the Alpine route enough?
is 5.5 Hours in Shirakawa-go too much?
