Very difficult to see anyone winning it not named Okada or Naito
Okada is probably the favorite to win the whole thing, Ospreay would have been my pick if Okada hadn’t lost the World title, otherwise, pretty much nobody has a chance but Naito.
White winning at Dominion pretty much erased every chance Ospreay had.
The only two realistic guys are Naito and Okada. Shingo has a small outside chance.
Ah thesportster. Wrestling journalism with no knowledge of wrestling or journalism. No.1 no chance Roman Reigns?
I think it’s Naito’s year. He needs his roll call at the Dome and the next big story with him is proving himself as top guy in a fighting champion reign. If they do two nights, it would be cool to see Naito dethrone Jay night one and challenge Okada to earn his roll call on night two.
Many American fans are clueless as to how popular Naito is in Japan. He’s a merch juggernaut. The guy’s also not falling apart. He moves better than most of the roster and NJPW will continue to squeeze as much from his popularity as they can.
Yeah this list is mad inconsistent lmao. They basically say that Ospreay has no chance because he’s a champion, but also go on to say that Jay White has a good chance. Zero consistency lmao
I personally would prefer a first time winner this year so im rooting for SANADA, Shingo or Ospreay. Anyone really as long as its not a repeat winner.
STONE PITBULL 141 WILL BITE EVERYONE
I really really really want an Ishii win. Man is so loved and such a workhorse, his stock internationally has skyrocketed, his consistency is unrivaled, loyal as hell, incredibly selfless. I’d be real cool with Shingo too, but man Ishii deserves some shine.
