14 Days (April 5-19) Tokyo – Osaka – Kyoto with a teen

Hi travelers,

I am travelling to Japan for the first time April 5th – 19th with my 14 year son. This is my first trip ever where the plan wasn’t to sit by a pool, so itinerary planning is a bit out of my wheelhouse. If it was me by myself I’d just wing it, but I can’t do that with my kid.

I’m wondering if there’s anything I’ve missed or if the itinerary looks off; I’m a food lover, video game nerd, love interesting history type stuff. My son is really into anime, Japanese video games, Japanese culture in general (but on the Otaku side of things). Cat and maid/butler cafes are on his menu. I’ve tried not to pack things in too tight so I can leave room for some exploring.
