Career Ideas after passing JLPT

Background: International school teacher at a meh-tier school in Tokyo but making good money (6mill annually) and plenty of holidays. (school is certified, I am a real teacher, I was one in the US before I left)

For the longest time, I was pretty disinterested in learning Japanese past basic communication. After I finished my master’s however I realized I had too much free time to just waste so I started studying Japanese again and as of yesterday, I passed N2.

For the first time, I have the qualifications to work in a Japanese company so I am wondering if it would be worth it to make a career change at this point. I have ten years of experience as an international school teacher for adolescents in math and science with some leadership experience, but I don’t have any other hard skills per se. Would it be worth it to transition to an office job? I would be interested in working with training or maybe HR, but I am pretty sure I would take a huge pay hit and have to work for some terrible black company to do so…

Is anyone in a similar situation? Would passing my resume to a recruiter be worth it?
