Hello everyone,
I have a question regarding my engineer visa in Japan. If I were to quit my current job and leave the country, will my visa be canceled immediately? I have an emergency back in my home country and I may need to leave Japan. My job may not allow me to take leave, so I am considering quitting (which I was planning to do anyway). Is it possible for me to leave for a few months and then return before my visa expires to search for a new job? Or would I need to restart the visa process from scratch in my home country?
