Hi,
I’ve posted some things on Facebook Marketplace and I keep getting supposed buyers that want to use an “agent” for the sale. A couple examples:
\- “I won’t be able to come but an agent will come over to pick it up and also pay you in cash”
\- “My shipping agent will come for the pickup once the payment is done”
I’m guessing these are scams but I’m trying to figure out how it works. Like, somewhere along the way they ask you to give them money or ?
Also: Is there any danger in giving our your bank transfer details (name, bank name/branch, account)? I assume not, otherwise anyone you’ve paid via bank transfer could do something nefarious.
