Sending International Letters

I have a letter that I want to send to Spain. I bought some 100 yen stamps and looked for the correct amount needed for international mail. The answers were all different. I’m just wondering if anybody knows how many 100 yen stamps are needed to send a letter internationally. I’m also wondering if I can just put the letter in the JP Postboxes that are everywhere.
