I tried looking for a thread on this topic but I can’t seem to find anything. I’m going to be leaving my current Job and was thinking about reaching out to parents of my current students once i have left the company and offer private tutoring for them. This would take place in the students home and be a sort of “side hustle” to make some extra cash once I have started my new job.
I am mostly concerned with the legal aspects, as far as I can tell, there is nothing regarding this topic in my contract. The only thing I can find regards working two jobs (escpecially in related fields) is prohibited. However nothing states what I can and can’t do after leaving.
I’m not aware of the laws and generally accepted rules here, does anyone have experience with this? would this perhaps fall under “intellectual property rights” of my previous company?
