My section planned an office party start of this month and I agreed to the poll. It’s usually 4-5k. But only yesterday the organizer sent out the details and it costs a whopping 6K.
Now I don’t feel like going for the cost. Can anyone suggest a polite excuse. I thinking of faking a cold but we have daily work from office policy, so it might be difficult to do…
Update: Said I can’t have alcohol at the moment and asked if cancellation is possible, else I’ll pay the cancellation fee. Turns out it could get canceled.
But lesson learnt. Gonna ask for price before opting in.
