Hi,
this is my first ever reddit post so apologies if somethings seem off lmao. Im currently a 2nd year at university and my goal is to join the JET program after i finish. I know the programme is incredibly competitive especially at the application and interview level so is there any advice to make myself stand out amongst others?
To add, im currently doing a degree in education, i spent 3 months working abroad with children with camp america and intend to return for 2024 as well so i hope those aspects will stick out. I also want to do my PGCE and TEFL (although ive read amongst here that the TEFL doesnt help too much). And as a side note, one of my goals is to work with a school that has a soccer club, im wondering if i got my FA coaching licenses that may also look good on the application.
Overall, im not too worried about the interview part, im usually pretty good with face to face interviews and feel confident, its just the standing amongst the huge pile of applicants that worries me slightly.
