I’d like to ask people’s thoughts for a daytrip on the way back to Tokyo from Hiroshima that’s not Kyoto, Osaka, or Nara.
I’m planning a three day weekend trip while I’m in Tokyo for work, departing early on the first day to visit Hiroshima and Miyajima and staying the night. On day two, I want to leave in the morning to my next destination, which I’m not sure of yet, before heading to Mount Fuji for the day on day #3 (specific location still undecided), then heading back to Tokyo that evening.
I’ll be in Japan for a few weeks for work and will likely see my fill of temples and gardens in general so I want to see something more unique than any other city. My spouse will likely come out later in my trip and will want to see Kyoto, Osaka, and Nara so I want to save that for them. I could just condense that three day trip down to two and take a day to explore Tokyo but I’d rather see as much of the country as I can… any thoughts? Thanks in advance!
