I plan to study in Japan, starting April, and would like to secure a lease. I have already found a perfect apartment through an agency for foreigners. However, for the screening process they need to see my visa. What can I do about this? Apparently, I won’t know if the COE is issued until the beginning of March. 1 month before does not leave me with a lot of time. I would really like this apartment. Has anyone here signed a lease before their visa was approved?
Student accomodation is available, however, after living in a student block for 1 year, I would rather not.
