I tried adding my foreign credit card to my account but it wouldn’t let me, said that it wasn’t a valid payment option for this store.
Is there any way to do it or is the only way to buy iTunes gift cards in order to buy apps?
On another note, am I able to use apple pay for suica and my credit card?

Welcome to Japan. Things often don’t work here with foreign credit cards, sometimes not all foreign cards. You often won’t know until you try. If it works, great. If it doesn’t, go do something else.
