Partner surprised me with tickets for a two week japan trip and we are both very excited.
The more we learn about japan, the more we want to live there. Obviously we will wait until we have actually physically gone and explored to make any major decisions, but…
1. I know I want to learn Japanese anyways. We are both practicing and learning in prep for this summer’s trip.
What are some other helpful things that anyone considering or choosing to move should do/have/prepare?
I used to be a teacher, and so plan to get my TEFL certification before moving so that I can teach English. My partner works from home, and so could, theoretically, keep their job if we moved. That said, we would be interested in gaining skills for high demand jobs. Everything online says tech and coding – but what about in more rural areas?
My dream would be to get an akiya that we could fix up and live in that is reasonable commute from a city, but not directly in a city.
