The validity date on my zairyu card has been totally scratched out – the 年XX月XX is readable but the 日 is not. You can see that my visa is valid until 2028 but not the exact day.
Rakuten Card asked me to submit my most recent zairyu card (for some weird policy update reason…) and it got declined because they couldn’t confirm all the information so they are asking me to resubmit.
I am leaving Japan permanently March 31st, with a holiday in Thailand in-between Feb 29 to March 15. Will I be able to re-enter Japan if the validity of my zairyu is not clearly visible? Ideally I would like to avoid getting a new card at this point since I am leaving.
Anyone has any idea what time it takes for the immigration to re-issue a “damaged” zairyu card?
