All the recent reviews are 1 star, animals can’t move in their small cages, animals are stressed, birds have plucked out their feathers and some other animals have injuries. There are other zoos in Japan where animals have very small cages, but this was extreme.
I thought Japan was strict on animal welfare, how is this zoo still running? Why is no action taken? Are people not concerned? It’s not like it’s hidden away, it’s right by the Himeji castle.
I’m just shocked.

Japanese treat their animals, especially on zoos, horribly. Always have.
