Hello! We are going to Japan for 2 weeks in May! 6 people coming total on the trip. Let me know how I did planning this! I tried to not over plan and keep things realistic.
I could especially use food recommendations for any of the days I don’t really have food listed. But please let me know if any of the days are too ambitious or not ambitious enough, any tips are appreciated, thank you!!
Sunday, Day 1 Tokyo (Hotel in shinjuku)
-Land at Narita International Airport 3:30 pm will be about an hour bus/train to hotel
-Narita>Shinjuku Station>Hotel
-Unpack and relax for a little
-Dinner Japan McDonald’s
-Shibuya sky closes 9pm
-Nintendo store Tokyo closes 9pm
-Jump Shop Shibuya Parco
-Walk around
stay up till like 10 or 11pm we can maybe offset jetlag bit.
Monday, Day 2 Tokyo (Hotel in shinjuku)
-Meiji jingu
-Yoyogi park
-Shinjuku gyoen national garden
-Kikka Ramen
-Atago jinja
-Tokyo tower
-Ikinari Steak Shinjuku 2 Chome cheaper end steak place near hotel
Tuesday, Day 3 Hakone (Hotel in shinjuku)
-711 breakfast
-Hakone day trip from shinjuku station
(Get hakone free pass for bus fair ease)
-Shenjuku romance car to hakone-yamoto then bus to Hotoriya
-Grab some lunch
-Pirate ship at Motohakone Port then head to Hakone Ropeway Owakudani Station
-Enjoy the view, black eggs
-Ropeway back to the pirate ship
-Hakone-jinja Soga Shrine, Amulet booth, Oratory, Inari Shrine
-Dinner at La Terrazza
-Bus/train back to tokyo
(Do we have enough time do the ropeway? Or is this too much for a day trip to hakone?)
Wednesday, Day 4 Tokyo (Hotel in shinjuku)
Breakfast (suggestion near pokemon center would be nice)
-Pokemon center tokyo dx 6th floor
Then train to Akiabara
-Kanda Shrine
-Surugaya specialty store
-Yellow submarine akihabara rpg shop
-Hard off akihabara 1st store
-Animate akihabara
-Astop Akiba Culture’s Zone shop (figures on 2nd floor)
-BIC CAMERA akhiabara
-Hamasushi Akihabara
If we can’t go on day 1
-Nintendo store
-Jump Shop Shibuya Parco
Thursday, Day 5 Tokyo > Nagakute (Airbnb in Nagakute)
-Find luggage storage
-Harajuku/Shibuya
-MEGA Don Quijote
-Mandarake
-10 yen cheese bread coin pastry
-Konno Hachimangu Shrine
Take luggage out of storage
Train from Tokyo to nagoya then to nagakute airbnb (takes around 3 hours via train)
(This day is not really set in stone open to suggestions!)
Friday, Day 6 Nagakute (Airbnb in Nagakute)
Ghibli park is a 30ish minute walk from airbnb
-Ghibli park
-Lawsons outside the park
Come back have dinner, relax, walk around. sleep
Saturday, Day 7 Nagakute > Kyoto (Airbnb in Kyoto)
Check out of airbnb in nagakute
Early as we can get train to kyoto (2ish hours)
-Nintendo museum (if we can get tickets, kinda doubt it)
-Nintendo store Kyoto
-BOOKOFF PLUS Kawaramachi OPA Store
-Ramen Sen-no-Kaze Kyoto
-Pokemon center kyoto
(Suggestions for a backup plan if we don’t get into the Nintendo museum would be appreciated!)
Sunday, Day 8 Kyoto (Airbnb in Kyoto)

-Pokemon center kyoto if not enough time day 7
-Kyoto Imperial Palace if have extra time
-Fushimi Inari Taisha after or before dinner
Monday, Day 9 Osaka (Airbnb in Kyoto)
~45 min train ride from Kyoto to Osaka
-Universal studios (super Nintendo world)
~45 min to hotel back in kyoto
Tuesday, Day 10 Osaka (Airbnb in Kyoto)
~45 min train ride from Kyoto to Osaka
-Surugaya specialty store
-Nintendo osaka store
-Osaka aquarium
-Harukas 300

Wednesday, Day 11 Kyoto > Tokyo (hotel in asakusa)

Train to tokyo (2hrs via shinkansen)

Friday, Day 13 Tokyo (hotel in asakusa)
-Ghibli museum
-Inokashira Park
-BOOKOFF
-Insert fancy dinner nearby (suggestions please!!)
-Nakano Broadway if extra time
-TOKYO KIMONO SHOES(by hotel)
Saturday, Day 14 Tokyo > Airport
-Senso ji temple
-Tokyo sky tree and tree village shop
