As of today I have finished Genki 1&2. I’ll be moving on to quartet soon. How’s the learning curve? Is there anything I should attempt to review before I begin?

As in the title, I’ve finished ch.23 of Genki 2 last night. I’ve got a copy of quarter 1&2 and plan to start them within the next few weeks. I plan on spending the time till then brushing up on the kanji in Genki as well as find the grammar points I’m still shakey in within Genki and brush up on that.

I’ve read other posters here mention the difficulty curve when going from beginner level texts to intermediate texts. And while I’ve seen that the curve has been somewhat flattened with quartet, there’s still a level of difficulty one must be able to surpass before getting on with quarter with little problems. (Or so I’ve read)

My questions are regarding what is this curve, how steep is it, and what other preparatory review should I do prior to beginning quartet in order to make the transition as painless as possible?

Any other advice would be welcome too. I’m pretty proud of myself for making it to the end of Genki (at my own -at times very slow- pace of course lol) and equally excited to begin Quartet.
