Can I use the Japanese accent while reading the words and alphabets?

Please note I won’t use the accent while speaking English, only pronouncing the words, hiragana, kanji, and katakana.)
Hi! I’m learning Japanese for fun and I’m American. I plan to move there in the future and get a job as an ESL teacher. I want to know if it’s bad or inappropriate to try the Japanese accent while learning Japanese and sounding it out. I do it also for Russian to help with fluency. I want to make sure it’s not racist or the stupid RCTA stuff people do, and I hope I’m not disgracing the culture. Please help! (Sorry if this doesn’t make sense)
