Hello, my mother is going to visit Japan (I live here) in march. She’s from the land of the free aka she can’t afford a dentist when she needs it.
Had anyone had a root canal or fillings without insurance here in Japan? I’ve gotta a root canal and a crown fitted and I forget how much it cost but it wasn’t expensive. Fillings usually cost me like 3-5,000 if I’m not mistaken. I haven’t been in a good while.
I heard Japan pays like 80% and we pay 20%? Is that right? Anywho, if anyone has insight let me know. She needs a root canal and maybe some fillings. The doctor in the states quoted her $2,000 for the root canal and I told her to just do it here. I wanna help pay for it for her but idk how much I should I’ll need prepare.
