Hello, I’ll be visiting Japan for two weeks next March with my brother and two friends.
I’ve heard that hotels are quite expensive, and there might be limited availability if I wait until the last day to book. It makes sense, but since we’re traveling in a group and haven’t finalized our plans, we haven’t made hotel reservations yet. Can anyone recommend what to do? Is it bad to book hotels at the last minute? We plan to visit Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, and Nara.
I also wanted to ask about booking train and metro passes. Is it cheaper to buy them in advance, or is it better to purchase tickets on the go?
Thank you.
