  1. That’s a really small amount of money. Mt Everest has the same issues with crowding and litter being left.

    If this helps then I’d happily pay it.

    They’ll just have the same amount of tourists but suddenly be flush with hundreds of millions of yen LMAO.

    Especially someone like me who has climbed it every year I love here, sometimes more than once when friends come visit.

  3. I’ll never understand going somewhere during peak tourism season. The crowded airports, trains, toilets, sounds, smells… I always research what’s the least popular season, and even then get as far away from the major cities as possible.

  4. Only Yoshida Trail, which I have little interest in climbing due to the crazy crowd density. I’ve been on two other trails.

  5. if I pay 2000y then I will not pay those “voluntary” 1000y. i always did because i like the small wood straps they give you; but is not worth it now
