Hi – This sub has been incredibly helpful with my trip planning, and I’m super excited to visit Japan for the first time. Would greatly appreciate any advise here. Young fit couple who loves exploring, live music, and adventure. I think my days in Asakusa and Akihabara feel a bit empty, but I want to leave time to explore in a relaxed way. All suggestions are welcome 🙂
I’ll be sure to write up a post trip itinerary for the sub!

# Tokyo:
Fri 2/16: Land at Narita around 15:00. Travel to hotel in Shinjuku. Chill / get ready for rooftop dinner/drinks reservation at swanky rooftop in Ginza (planning on just ubering there)
Sat 2/17: Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden > walk to Takeshita street > walk to Shibuya Scramble Crossing > train back to hotel to relax > Golden Gai (is this all realistic? Or is this too much or too spread out?)
Sun 2/18: walk to Meiji Jingu > train to Ochanomizu / guitar street / electronics town > walk to Akihabara to explore (any specific recommendations in Akihabara?) > train back to Shinjuku – possible Jazz show at the Pit Inn
Mon 2/19: Skiing daytrip to Gala Yuzawa (really really excited for this)
Tues 2/20: Train to Senso Ji > walk to Nakamise Dori area (any other recommendations in Asakusa? feel like this day is lacking)
# Kyoto:
Wed 2/21: travel to Kyoto via Shinkansen, hotel in Higashiyama ward
Thurs 2/22: Fushimi Inari early > Nishiki Market > Yasaka Dori / Hokan Ji Temple
Fri 2/23: Arashiyama Bamboo forest > Arashiyama Monkey park (anything else worth seeing in Arashiyama?) > train back to Kiyomizu Dera if we’re feeling it
Sat 2/24: Travel day – shinkansen back to Tokyo, then fly home 🙁
