How do you feel about the “gaijin smash”?

The “gaijin smash,” doing something you know is wrong knowing you can get away with it because you are foreign, is something occasionally talked about by foreigners living in Japan (at least western foreigners, idk about other people). Is this something you consciously do or something you try to avoid?

Personally, I don’t think guests in a country should be trying to get away with things because they are foreign. However, one thing I do that is technically wrong and will keep doing is for school graduation, seifuku for women is actually a black dress, but I wear a suit and black shirt instead.
