I currently want to upgrade my Samsung S9 to an S22 as it’s starting to have problems now, but when I inquired at Docomo they told me that I’m not eligible for the installment plans because of my visa status. I could purchase the phone with my credit card and just Ribo it to eternity but I don’t want to do that as I don’t want to be in Ribo Hell along with their interest fees. Are there any other options that I have?
Also, I’m currently using ahamo so I can’t purchase the store directly from the store and need to buy it via their online shop.
I tried purchasing online with the 分割 option and it says that I need to go to the store so that they can verify my length of stay.

You can buy it on 分割 instead of リボ, at least that way you know when it’s paid off.
Many cards let you switch 一括 to 分割 after the fact.
The other choice is to buy a used S22, will be cheaper and easier to purchase in person.
