  1. That Japanese Man Yuta, Nobita from Japan and Takashii from Japan all have videos interviewing Japanese people (or at least Japanese speakers) with subtitles. I used to watch them just because it’s interesting to find out their opinions on stuff, but now I find it quite useful to try and follow along and see what words I can pick out.

Sometimes it’s slightly fast, and often they seem to omit a lot of stuff I have learned or add certain words or phrases that don’t make much sense to me. But on the whole I find it a good mix of entertaining and useful.

  2. I’ve started setting the playback speed to 75% and personally I find it helps with being able to hear words clearer, so you might try that?

  3. If you’re into cooking, I like Kimono Mom a lot. She does speak English in many videos, but not the entire time, and the Japanese is pretty easy to follow. The recipes look super tasty too

  4. If you like unsolved mysteries, [うわさの探偵たち](https://youtube.com/channel/UCnKks3KuOeQrKPUXkv8nOzg) is really nice. It has verbatim hardsubs with coloured highlights for important details.

If you want some horror stories, there’s [ヤミツキテレビ](https://youtube.com/c/yamitukitv). It has naturally slow narrations, hardsubs and relevant art to go with what’s being said. The visual presentation is kind of like a visual novel, actually.

  5. Kimagure Cook, I love his videos! He makes seafood in all kinds of different ways! Plus he has a really entertaining personality.

  6. 出口日語
I have been using this channel as my primary resource for few years, basically this channel is covering most of the thing.

  7. Not all but some videos in Hanae Natsuki’s YouTube channel (The VA of Kamado Tanjiro, Kaneki Ken and Arima Kousei. Some other seiyuus such as Eguchi Takuya and Ono Kensho appear as guests) has subtitles. Since he is a seiyuu, his pronunciation is pretty good. You can find the link below.
