Hi there! I have been trying to do lots of research on my upcoming two week trip to Japan in may on how I should split it up between destinations but with the new doubling of price with the JR rail pass a lot of suggestions are possibly unaffordable as they were made pre oct 2023. So far I’m staying in Tokyo for 4 nights and then plan to buy a bullet ticket to/from Osaka for an undetermined amount of time. Then from there take a day trip to Nara/Kobe? And on the way back to Tokyo stay a night or two in Kyoto and then a night in Tokyo before flying home.
Any other suggestions or what other destinations are a must see that don’t require spending 400$+ on a rail pass.
