Hello! I’m planning to spend 3 weeks in late May/early June. Mostly sightseeing and shopping in major cities. I’m wondering if it would be a good or bad idea to spend a few days in Okinawa in the middle of the trip as a mini holiday-within-a-holiday. I don’t know whether it would be a refreshing break from heat & humidity, or just sweltering and uncomfortable. The dates are set and can’t be changed.
Not sure whether it is relevant, but the rest of the trip is:
5 days Tokyo, 2 days each Hakone and Kanazawa, 5 days Kyoto, 2 days Osaka. The rest of the time could be divided among day trips from the bigger cities, or spent as a mini holiday by the beach.
