  1. I guess this is a big hint why Dragon Lee has been completely absent from New Japan for the past few years.

I imagine CMLL, through New Japan, told them that there can’t be any AAA wrestlers on the card.

  2. Dude, who actually gives a shit about CMLL? Why are they still catering to the brass at CMLL?

  3. As the wrestling textbook says.

If you want to be in New Japan Pro Wrestling, don’t get involved with AAA. That is common sense.

  4. Not sure if we are getting anybody from
LIJ at all at forbidden door since they are all booked for the shows this weekend.

  5. I’m kind of confused as to what NJPW gets out of the working partnership with CMLL. Seems there is a ton of rules and restrictions for minimal return.

  6. According to lucha blog, he can work at forbidden Door but he can’t work in Japan for NJPW, because of cmll relationship. So maybe Andrade wanted to join in G1 but couldn’t because of cmll and AAA

  7. Apparently andrade has a contract with AAA in addition to AEW, which is not the case with bucks or FTR who are not under contract with AAA but have participated in their show.

AAA and CMLL are on bad terms, CMLL asked NJPW not to associate their wrestlers with those of AAA, NJPW respects CMLL’s decision because they have been partners for a long time, that’s why Ospreay did not appear with MLW because they use AAA wrestlers was in their shows.

From NJPW’s perspective, it’s CMLL and AAA finding common ground.
For Andrade it’s sad he can’t return to home, the solution would be for him to break his contract with AAA or for Tony Khan to tell Konnan not to block him.

Other promotions like NJPW are held hostage to the conflict between AAA and CMLL but that’s part of the business.
