I’ve recently become obsessed with the Gokenin Zankuro show from the late ’90s. I’ve gotten deep enough into it that I started to want to visit any remaining sets from the show. I’ve been watching videos of people walking around the Toei Studio Park to see if I can catch some locations, but no luck so far. So I started doing searches in Japanese using Google translate, and I found out that the park is going to be remodeled for the 2025 50th anniversary. I guess anything left from the ’90s is going to end up gone very soon, if not already?
I haven’t had any luck finding a community of fans to talk about these things with, so I’m posting here in case there’s anyone who is familiar with the park and the show and can either tell me or point me to resources about whether any of the show locations are still intact in the park, and what the timeline of the restoration is. ANY leads to forums in whatever language, references, books, blogs, videos etc. would be much appreciated. (I’m posting here because I see this less as a travel thing than a local culture thing, even though it’s very specialized.) Thank you!
